The walks around Bramfield seemed a little short so we combined two to do a nine mile walk in a figure of eight. Liz and Ben Woodhams joined us.
The terrain was a mixture of countryside with almost all the wheat in now - and the remains of what must originally have been a significant forest in Bramfield - but now much reduced. Much more rural than previous walks with the roads beginning to thin out now that we are further from London.
We saw our first cows for some time and shortly after a young adder scuttled across the path in front of us. As we entered the main part of the forest a dog fox moved ahead of us.
Bramfield Village provided a good stop for lunch with the village church adjacent being nearly 700 years old.
