Chain Walk 1 - Whitewebbs Park to Crews Hill

Started the Chain Walk today with Juin Ee from Singapore and Jean. The walk started in mature woodland in Whitewebbs Park and then circled through farmland and golf courses to Crews Hill which must be the Oxford St of garden centres with at least 20.

After going under the M25 it was time for elevenses.

A large Jewish cemetery in open countryside was quite a surprise and then we turned back towards London again.

Plenty of horses about - and signs about free range pork were followed by the sight of these pigs marauding through the barley.

The walk ended at the local hostelry - as most of them seem to! This one claimed to have been brewing beer since the 10th century but 21st century Adnams was fine.

Starting off

Over the next few weeks I will be doing the Hertfordshire Chain Walk - starting near Crews Hill and ending near Royston.
